.. the lack of scores from drill meets being sent out? We used to get a general scoresheet for all schools and our individual judging schoresheets from each TI that judged the drill. The last three drill meets in the TX area, my unit nor any of our district's units have recieved these scores. It's very frustrating for me as a team commander to not know what the TIs thought we needed to improve on. I get feedback after the drill of course but the scoresheets helped me a lot. I don't understand why they no longer mail out scoresheets to units after a drill meet. Anyone else face this dilemma?

Hi guys! I haven't updated in a while, and yeah. New LJ and all.

I was put as NCO under Public Affairs, and for the past two weeks, I've been helping to put Color Guard back onto it's feet since they lost their NCOIC.. Due to they lost all after school and bunker privliges. So yeah. But now I'm done with that headache since my CSM was very demanding putting forward all this time and stuff. I don't know what I am going to do for Color Guard tomorrow. D:

Um.. Anyhow.

My AFI is in January. What happens are your own AFI? Do they ask random questions and stuff? Sorry, I'm curious :]

I am getting ready to leave for my Washington DC trip on friday. Its a seminar on National Security in a Democracy it lasts about a week so I will be back on the 22nd. Anyways my SAI wants me to put together some press release thingy about what I did and all of that stuff so that he can put it in the local paper and also put it in our historical book for the BN. I asked him why he wanted to put it in the newspaper he said because I should be recognized for this. Whatever, if it will keep him happy then ok. Anyways, I have to fly in a day early because that was my only choice, so I will be getting a room at the hotel we are staying for the seminar a day early, then checking out and signing at the seminar. My only thing is, I have to figure a way to the hotel my choices are:
a) The Metra (train type of deal)
b) A cab
c) Someone that someone here knows picks me up
d) Any other plan that I can think of

OK, I'm in charge of Cadet of the Month this year, in past years we always lose our study guides that we give to the cadets (we only have 6, one for each PLT). My thinking is they get the SG when they are told of the date they will appear in front of the board, they will have to turn in the SG when they appear or they lose 5 pts automatically from overall impression. Does anybody have any other suggestions or opinions on this idea?

I graduated #1 at CSLS (Cadet staff leadership school). There were about 160-200 cadets there. It was rather easy, my SASI did tell me that our unit was of a way higher standard there than most other units... I'm not sure on that yet. My flightmate got #2 rank too, so that's cool. Anyone else go to CSLS at San Marcos, TX last week?

I don't know if anyone here is still looking at this community, maybe it's slowed down soley because of break. I don't know for sure. Nevertheless, I feel compelled to inform any who might look here that I have enlisted in the Army Reserve. I'll be shipping on June 21st, 2007. I still have a year of high school left. My MOS will be Military Police. I thought it'd be something that I'd enjoy. If anyone has any advice please let me know.

hey everyone,
wow, i haven't posted here in a while. we just had our afjrotc awards ceremony tonight at the high school and thought i'd just go over some things. i was surprised at a couple of awards i got (and tell me if this is normal).....some of the award descriptions, to me, do not reflect me. for example, here are the following i received:

outstanding cadet: this is the second time... why i got it, i don't really know
civil air patrol initial cadre certificate: we just started a new middle school cap program, first in n.y.s.
achievement ribbon
co-curricular activities/leadership ribbon
and the highest award awarded tonight, the air force association award: now, i REALLY don't know how i got that

and i'm the new summer jrotc commander.... please, someone tell me who and where i am

so that was the extent of my night, along with my hand almost falling off from shaking so many peoples' hands.

but, anyways, i'll be more faithful and try to keep in touch more like i'm supposed to

later

We just got back from our drill meet at Concordia Lutheran High School in Terre Haute, IN. It was a long trip but it was worth it because out Unarmed Exibition squad placed 4th out of 19 teams and our Unarmed Platoon Team placed 4th out of 27 teams. It was a big meet in a relatively small school. During the meet, a little comical relief was provided by a team from Gary, IN. Let's just say the commander of this Armed Exib. Sq. was a little too light on his feet. The only depressing thing about the trip was our performance with our Armed Regulation Squad. We did horrible. This is due in part to two members of the team that can't march well and the fact that the commander is completely unsure of herself. We placed 20th of 32 in the rankings, and I couldn't believe teams did worse than us. The inspection for Armed Reg. Sq. was abysmal. Virtually all of our shoes were scuffed, but try as I might, I can't seem to get scuffs out of patent leather shoes. It's not a matter of cleaning them, the shoes are actually abraised. Anyway, it was a good meet overall. Go Rocket Battalion!
